eNetra Mine Monitoring System
Extraction extent, volume moved, and lease-boundary compliance.
Mining oversight rests on two questions that satellite and drone data answer directly: did extraction stay within the sanctioned lease, and how much material was moved. eNetra MMS tracks the working face across time, measures volume change from surface models, and flags activity outside the lease polygon — turning a periodic manual survey into a continuous, evidence-backed record.
Capabilities
What Mine Monitoring does.
Lease boundary compliance
The sanctioned lease polygon is held as the reference. Every detection cycle compares the observed working face and dump footprint against it, and any extraction that crosses the line is raised as a breach with the offending area quantified.
Lease polygonVolumetrics from surface models
Digital surface models from successive drone or satellite-stereo captures are differenced to give cut and fill volumes for the pit and the overburden dumps — the same number a total-station survey produces, over the whole site rather than a sampled traverse.
Cut and fillIllegal extraction outside the lease
Change detection is run over a configurable buffer beyond the lease so unauthorised pits and quarries in the surrounding area surface in the same queue, with location and area attached.
Buffer sweepEnvironmental conditions
Green-belt extent, water-body encroachment, haul-road footprint and dump slope are monitored against the conditions attached to the environmental clearance, so drift from the approved plan is visible early.
EC conditionsProduction reconciliation
Measured volume moved is set alongside declared production for the same period. A sustained variance is surfaced continuously rather than at annual audit.
Declared vs movedClosure and reclamation tracking
Progressive mine closure commitments — backfilling, re-vegetation, dump stabilisation — are tracked as measurable surface change against the approved closure plan.
Closure planHow it works
From acquisition to closure.
Register
The sanctioned lease polygon, approved mine plan and clearance conditions are loaded as the reference state.
Capture
Satellite cycles cover the lease and buffer continuously; drone flights add centimetre-grade surface models where volume matters.
Measure
Working-face extent is extracted and successive surface models are differenced for cut and fill volumes.
Compare
Observed extraction, dumps and green belt are checked against the lease boundary and the approved plan.
Report
Breaches and exceptions go to the alert queue; period volumes and compliance status roll into statutory reports.
System components
The components of a deployment.
Satellite change layer
Continuous, wide-area coverage of the lease and its surroundings.
- Multi-temporal optical change detection over the lease and buffer
- Working-face and dump footprint extraction
- Boundary breach flagging with quantified area
- Scheduled cycles without a site visit
Drone survey layer
Centimetre-grade capture when volume accuracy is what matters.
- Planned photogrammetric flights over the pit and dumps
- Ground control for survey-grade positioning
- Digital surface model and orthomosaic per capture
- Period-on-period cut/fill differencing
Compliance dashboard
One view of the lease for the mine operator and the regulator alike.
- Lease map with current working face and dump extents
- Volume moved by period, pit and dump
- Open breaches and environmental exceptions
- Exportable reports against statutory formats
Field verification app
The same ground-truth loop the forest system uses, pointed at mining sites.
- Alert routed to the inspecting officer with coordinates
- Geo-tagged photographic evidence from the site
- Structured findings and remarks
- Closure with a retained audit trail
What you get
What a deployment delivers.
- Lease breach alerts with quantified area
- Cut and fill volumes by pit and dump, per period
- Orthomosaic and digital surface model per capture
- Environmental compliance exception log
- Period-on-period change report for the regulator
